About Melissa L'Estrange

 

Melissa is a Clinical Counsellor and Psychotherapist in Toowoomba and her practice also encompasses Clinical Supervision, Counsellor Training and the facilitation of Personal and Professional Development Workshops.

 

Melissa’s hope and intention for the client is that they are received within a supportive environment and know they have been heard and understood while they have the opportunity to:

  • Explore challenging issues;

  • Develop greater Self-awareness;

  • Be awakened to the resources within themselves and their environment which promote life-giving changes;

  • Work towards self-acceptance, empowerment, self-responsibility;

  • Live from more of their full potential;

  • Find a sense of wholeness.

 

Melissa is fully aware that the invitation to examine ones’ life and be open to opportunities of healing and growth can be a challenging experience.  She has a deep understanding of and appreciation for embracing an holistic approach within her work which values and addresses the interconnectedness of a person’s mental, physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. 

 

Her counselling clientele includes Adults, Adolescents and Children.


She is an accredited trainer in Transpersonal and Experiential Psychotherapy with a Post Graduate Certificate in Mental Health Practice from the University of New England, Diploma of Counselling and Diploma of Community Services with The Brisbane North Institute of TAFE, Certified Practitioner of Holotropic Breathwork.

 

Some of the processes used include:
Voice Dialogue, Gestalt, Sandplay, Dreamwork, Emotional Release Process Work, Holotropic Breathwork, Artwork, Body Focus and Bio-energetics.
